MY BACKGROUND

My background is mainly in sales & operations in the food manufacturing/wholesaling sector.

A few years in retail/B2B automotive sales.

Although originally from the North East of England, I lived for most of my life in Whitstable, on the North Kent coast, but in early 2012 relocated to the beautiful island of Jersey, Channel Islands.

In September 2015, I bought a Regal 2650 Cuddy powerboat with a 5ltr V8 Mercruiser and was immediately bitten by the 'Boating Bug'.

The waters around Jersey are notoriously dangerous if you haven't taken the trouble and effort to fully understand and respect them. To this end, I immediately set about learning as much as I could, starting with the RYA Day Skipper Theory course at Highlands College, Jersey.

I then joined the Le Mourier Powerboat Group, one of the best things I have done! They have taken me from Powerboat Level 2 standard, right through Intermediate, Advanced and Commercial Endorsement, Skippering and Crewing over 100hours/1,000 miles during 2017.

In 2018, I clocked up an amazing 3,000 miles, mostly as Skipper on the Highfield Patrol 660 135hp and XS 850 400hp RIBs 

I now work year-round for Le Mourier Marine as Skipper on charters, as an RYA Powerboat Instructor to PB1/PB2 Levels, and as an RYA VHF Radio Instructor/Assessor
